# EnvironmentProtection

> The EnvironmentProtection object in the Guv API.

## Fields

| Field | Type | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `require_approval` | boolean | Deploys and changes by agents (and by roles not listed in `approver_roles`) need human approval. |
| `approver_roles` | array of [Role](/docs/api/objects/role/) | Default `["owner","admin"]`. |
| `allowed_branches` | array of string | Only these branches may deploy here. Empty means any. |
