# internal_error

> Something went wrong on our side. Something went wrong on Guv's side.

**Something went wrong on our side.** Something went wrong on Guv's side. It has been logged and the operations team has been told. It is not something you did.

- **HTTP status:** `500 Internal Server Error`
- **CLI exit code:** `10` (temporary, safe to retry)
- **Retry:** safe to retry with the same `Idempotency-Key`

## How to fix it

Retry with the same Idempotency-Key. If it keeps happening, quote request_id {request_id} to support.

1. Retry once with the same `Idempotency-Key`.
2. If it keeps happening, quote the `Guv-Request-Id` header to support.

Words in `{braces}` are filled in from the error response, which names the exact resource.

## What the response looks like

```json
{
  "type": "https://guv.dev/errors/internal_error",
  "title": "Something went wrong on our side",
  "status": 500,
  "code": "internal_error",
  "detail": "Something went wrong on Guv's side.",
  "fix": "Retry with the same Idempotency-Key. If it keeps happening, quote request_id {request_id} to support.",
  "docs_url": "https://guv.dev/errors/internal_error",
  "request_id": "req_01jbx2m9k7q4r8t5v6w3y0z1rq"
}
```

The `code` field is stable: match on it, not on `title` or `detail`, which may be reworded.
